Where is University Hill, and what is nearby?
University Hill is an 84-unit apartment community at 40101 and 40115 The Crescent in Squamish’s Garibaldi Highlands neighbourhood. Built in 2008 and recently renovated, it is next to Capilano University’s Squamish campus. Garibaldi Village shopping is about 5 minutes by car, downtown Squamish about 10–15 minutes, Whistler about 45 minutes and downtown Vancouver about 60 minutes. Bus routes 2 (Highlands) and 9 stop about 0.2 km away. Travel times vary.
What apartments are available?
Several two-bedroom, two-bathroom suites are available now, from 833 sq. ft. Three-bedroom, two-bathroom suites are 991 sq. ft. and available immediately. Furnished homes are available in limited numbers; contact us for their availability and pricing.
What are the base rents and advertised NER rates?
Unfurnished two-bedroom base rents start from $2,695/month, with advertised NER from $2,488/month. Unfurnished three-bedroom base rents start from $3,395/month, with advertised NER from $3,134/month. NER includes 1 month free prorated across the lease term. Subject to availability. The promotion is one month free on a 13-month lease for unfurnished suites. The displayed NER is rounded to the nearest dollar; rent varies by suite. After the initial promotional term, rent continues at the unit’s base rate.
What are the lease term and deposits?
The lease is a 13-month fixed term, followed by month-to-month tenancy. The security deposit is half a month’s rent. An approved pet requires a separate pet deposit of half a month’s rent.
Are pets allowed?
Yes. Cats and dogs are allowed with approval and a separate pet deposit. Ask the leasing team to confirm approval for your pet.
Are parking, bike storage and lockers available?
Secured parking is $60/month per stall, subject to availability. A secure bike room is available. Storage lockers are $30/month, subject to availability. Parking and storage lockers are additional to rent.
What utilities and suite features are included?
Water and garbage removal are included; hydro is paid by the tenant. Suites have electric baseboard heating and no cooling. Renovated suites feature updated stainless steel appliances, countertops and flooring, an in-suite washer and dryer, and two renovated bathrooms. Valley views are available in select units.
Is there an on-site manager, an elevator and a non-smoking policy?
Yes. University Hill has a live-in building manager and an elevator, and is a non-smoking building. The community is managed by Prospero International Realty Inc.
